Celebrates Culture & Opportunities

Free Admission to Third Annual Robideaux Report

No Cost to Attend Parish-Wide Address, and Community Showcase

Lafayette Mayor-President Joel Robideaux is pleased to announce there will once again be no charge to attend his annual address, the Robideaux Report, as well as the Community Showcase to follow. Both free events will happen on the evening of Thursday, March 14 at the Heymann Performing Arts Center, with the address beginning at 6 p.m., and the showcase following at approximately 7 p.m.

On the evening of March 14, Robideaux will review the opportunities and challenges the community has seen in recent years, as well as the important issues facing Lafayette Parish today and in the future. Some of these topics include jobs and diversifying the economy, budget priorities and taxes, progress on drainage projects, the charter amendment, LUS and LUS Fiber, and important news on the No Kill 2020 initiative.

“I look forward to addressing the citizens of Lafayette Parish at the third annual Robideaux Report. On this evening I will highlight some of the accomplishments we have achieved in the last three years and share my perspective on the challenges that lie ahead,” stated Robideaux. “As we continue to move forward as a parish, I also plan to unveil several new initiatives that will make government more transparent, customer service-oriented and efficient.”

Free admission to both components of the Robideaux Report – the address and the showcase – is made possible in part by Presenting Sponsor LUS Fiber. “I believe every citizen in Lafayette Parish should have the opportunity to hear firsthand the status of their government,” stated Robideaux. “I am pleased to also offer no cost of admission with the generous support of businesses and individuals.”

Following the address, all in attendance are invited to enjoy free admission to the Community Showcase, celebrating the elements that make Lafayette Parish a great place to live, work and play. “Organizations and individuals from across the parish have been working on what is shaping up to be an exciting evening where we celebrate our past and our look forward to our collective future.
